The tra- gic part of it was that his roommates were using him as a door mat until he succomed to a suppressed desire to run around the track. You should have heard the kids and his aunts when they found out he was what the football team needed! Willoughby didn't like the idea either until Sally Bishop, a reporter from the college paper, came onto the scene, The doting aunts had formerly planned that at the end of Willoughby's colleg career he would return to Middleton and Marry Marybelle-a fate worse than death! How do I know all this ? I'm Inner Willy-QWilloughby's con- science to be exact. D True love always wins, and it surely did this time.
