Deca it had no outiet, the Dead Sea became a useiess basin of v-later except for the deposit of sait that has accumuiated during the years. The Sea is dead because it has no outiet. -- it receives but it does not give. Like the Dead Sea, many peopie receive wonderful benefits from our modern society but because of their gr eed, selfishness , and a Tack of feeiing of so ciai responsibiiity, they do not maine their own per sonai contributions to civiiization. As a resuit, they are unhappy and a feeiirxg of frustration and futiiity dominate their lives. In 1930 Mr. Lewis was instrumental in getting a charter for the Hampshire Chapter of the Future Farmers of America. In addition to his many contributions as an agricultural teacher, he has now organized a modern shop where he conducts an industrial arts program It is a pleasure and a privilege for the Class of 1954 to dedicate the Highlighter to Mr. Lewis, who has so diligently worked to make farm life in this community more pleasurable.
