EIGHTH GRADE EIGHTH GRADE TOP ROW:Shirley Peter- son, Marion Stevens, James Pfaffinger, Car ol Carlson,Donna Mae Deihs,'SkippyW Kruse THIRD ROW:Bonnie Tat ge,Janice Holze,Karen Holze,0rrell Ruth, Boyd Reid,John Duchaj SECOND ROW:Maxine Bak er,Jim Getzelman,Char les Umholtz,Marvin Mengeling,Ronald Lei- ghty,Elizabeth Ball Shelby AllenFIRST now Marcella Groebner,Lor raine Krecker,Lou Ann Gray,Joan Sunderlage, Esther Samuelson. At the first class meeting in September the eighth grade pupils elected officers. Boyd Reid was elected president. Karen Holze was elected vice- president, Marvin Mengeling, secretary, Orrell Ruth, class treasurer. A school safety Patrol was then organized. James Pfaffinger was voted in as captain, Jim Getzelman, lieutenanant, Charles Umholtz and John Duchaj, patrolmen. The girls patrol consisted of the three patrol girls, Maxine Baker, Lou Ann Gray, and Marcella Groebner, led by Carol Carlson as girl's lieutenant. The patrol were installed at an all grade-school assembly in the gymnasium at which the eight patrol members were given their belts after they had answered satisfactorily the questions asked by Mr. Lollar. Janice Holze was elected librarian with Charles Umholtz acting as assist- ant. Skippy Kruse was elected assistant to Joyce Bauman to do the news reporting for the class. A few weeks after school opened the eighth grade initiated the seventh grade.
