JUNIOR CLASS At the first meeting of the Junior Class this year, the following officers were elected, President, Bob Schneider, Vice-President, Irving Warrington Treasurer, Ronald Stevens, Secretary, Evelyn Workowski, and Student Council members, Jeanette Getzelman and Charles Herrmann. In the latter part of January, the class rings were received. Coke and pop-corn were sold by the class members at all of the home basketball games to earn money to give a Junior-Senior Prom in the latter part of May. The class presented a mystery- comedy play, 'One Mad Night' on December seventh. The class had two parties this year. One was held in the gym and the other in the V.F.W. home. Mr. Jack Lurain was the class sponsor. SOPHOMORE CLASS The Sophomore Class officers were, Dick Chamberlain, President, Dick Seiss- er, Vice-President, Nancy Bruce, Secretary, Arlene Meyers, Treasurer, and Marilyn Herrmann and Ronald Carlson student council members. Mrs. James was the class sponsor. During the year, two members of the class, Doris Borchers and Edward Burnell moved. The Sophomore Class held their class parties at the high school and at the homes of members. FRESHMEN CLASS The Freshmen class consists of twenty-nine pupils, fourteen boys and fif- teen girls. The first class meeting was held September 15, 1950. The offi- cers were elected as follows, President, Gordon Melms, Vice-President, Ralph Campbell, Secretary, Alberta Adams, and Treasurer, Margaret Herrmann. The representatives from the Freshmen Class for Student Council were Gordon Melms, Sidney White and Donna Holze. The class colors were pink and gray, the class flower is the pink carnation. The officers for 1950-51 were President, Allen Pfaffingerg Vice-President, Jeanette Getzelmang Secretary-Treasurer, Marilyn Herrmann. The Hampshire Council belongs to the state association of student councils. This enables it to send two delegates to the state convention which was held this year at the Congress Hotel in Chicago. The first all-school party of the year, a welcoming party for the fresh- men, was sponsored by the Council on October 13th. Other activities spon- sored by the Council were the election of the cheerleaders and athletic committee members, the annual Christmas party and the spring formal held in May. J.Getzelman
