' Y fryi The purpose of the 1963 KALEIDOSCOPE is to preserve for the students and the administration of Hampden-Sydney Col- lege their years spent on the Hill. No picture or collection of pictures can recreate to the fullest the experiences one carries away from these grounds, but it is our hope that we may to some degree assist in the pleasant recall of memories associated with the school. Pictured throughout the book is the A. D. Watkins Bell Tower around which the academic life of Hampden-Sydney is centered. Using the hell tower as a focal point we have recorded the face of Hampden-Sydney, a portrait which will serve to resurrect the memories which may become blurred with time.
