foreword The KALEHJOSCOPE of 1962 is intended to he a sum- mary in pictures of life at Hampden-Sydney College. Our limitations have been the many aspects of campus life that cannot be preserved by such means. We have tried. there! fore, to present the more permanent aspects, and we hope that this Yearbook will be accepted and enjoyed by both the students and administration, who share a common life on the Hill. If, many years from now, in looking through this Yearbook, you can recall old friends and pleasant memo- ries of your college years, then we can consider this publica- tion a success. P rp .
