AFTER THE TENSION SUBSIDED IN LAOS, THE HAMNER PROCEEDED TO KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN, ARRIV- ING 12 MAY AND ASSUMED PATROL DUTY IN THE TAIWAN STRAITS . UPON BEING RELIEVED OF PATROL DUTY ON 12 JUNE, DESDIV 111 SET COURSE FOR YOKOSUKA, JA- PAN FOR A TENDER AVAILABILITY, AND FURTHER ASSIGNMENT TO TASK GROUP 77.5 , INCLUDING USS MIDWAY CCVA-415.
