Andy Vernum, Betty Horris, Bob Hines and Fred Labs OUR JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS THE CLASS OF 1952 At last we have passed the halfway mark on that long journey that began in September, 1949. We have worked hard and accomplished many things this year. As juniors we are allowed social activities not enjoyed by freshmen and sophomores. We elected the following officers to help us with these activi- ties: Andy Vernum, president; John Moore, vice-president; Bob Hines, secre- tary; Betty Harris, treasurer; Fred Labs, social chairman. Miss Couve ' and Mr. Cromwell are our class sponsors. Our first party, January 31, 1951, was the Junior-Senior Party which was held for the graduating seniors. It was held in the school cafeteria, the first party to be given there. The following committee chairmen were re- sponsible for the success of the party: refreshments, Bill Harmon; publicity, Mary Raksanyi; admission, Irene Blankenship; decoration, Dick Newland; music, Bob Harmon. Our next special event was the Junior-Senior Prom which was held at Madura ' s Danceland, June 1, 1951, with the music of Bud Pressner ' s Orchestra. This long awaited occasion was the greatest event of the whole year. Page 22
