Summer institutions attract students STUDENT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE — Eric Hueb- ncr. Ruth Schlesinger. LAW AND GOVERNMENT CAMP — Terry Hen- don, Phyllis Roden and Kim Whalin. All around Indiana different organizations were sponsoring a variety of camps, institutes and programs for high school students during the summer. Governmental programs such as Law and Government Career Camp, Girls’ and Boys’ State, and Student Leadership showed high school students the HOWS and WHYS of state and local government. The other camps ranged from subjects such as engineering and foreign language overseas programs to football and wrestling camps. Programs such as these prove to students that learning and practice in various subjects can be an enjoyable experience without the strict structured way of life as in a normal school atmosphere.
