These were given by experts in their re- spective fields. '79 ' , Henry Nolting, General Foreman of the Heavy Oils Department at the Standard Qil Cgmpany, talks to a chemistry class on some technical aspects of oil refining. Addressing a Journalism l class on the essentials of good advertising layout is Dale Hunziker, Retail Advertising Manager from the Hammond Times. An associate professor of chemistry at the University of Chicago and a con- sultant at the Argonne National Laboratories, Dr. E. R. Sato discusses bio- chemistry with a biology class.

Fro h Introcluction, College Night LEN CLARK, Association president. Orientation was the first school func- tion of the year. Incoming students for- mally met Dr. Rapp, their counselor, the Association officers, and their alma mater for the next four years. After the new students were briefed of both custom and conduct, a guided tour of Hammond High completed the frosh introduction. Annually, Hammond High and Hammond Morton sponsor a col- lege night, where students are able to meet nation-wide college and university representatives. Questions and answers regarding tuition, fees, and campus life help students find the college which is best suited for them. Fall orientation for freshmen.
