Text from Pages 1 - 90 of the 1985 volume:

foreword . . . A TOUCH OF CLASS! This is the exclamation of the 1985 Senior Class of Hammond Central School. We have achieved it. We do proclaim it. Most of all we take it with us. We have acquired it through these years of growth spent with our fellow students, our administrators, and our families. The Senior Class of 1985 would like to thank all of these people for giving to each of us what we now, as seen in this yearbook, can leave behind ... A TOUCH OF CLASS! ii Dedication . . . The Senior Class of 1985 proudly dedicate our Spotlight to Mrs. Betty Moffat. Mrs. Moffat has for the past 23 years been a promoter of “class,” knowledge and success at Ha- mond Central School. She has always greeted each student with a warm smile, instilled confidence, and introduced an awareness and knowledge of the world around us. Our best wishes and gratitude go with her as we leave Hammond Central and begin our new life, as she does too! 2 kr 3 Michael J. Amyot Live today and let tomorrow take care of itself. M. A. We, the Class of 1985, wish to openly express our thanks to Mrs. Sullivan for all her support over the past four years. Mrs. Sullivan is not only our class advisor, but our friend as well. She has made our class endeavors possible. We would like to take this opportunity to tell her how much we all appreciate her and love her. Thank you, Mrs. Sullivan! Mrs. Lori Sullivan The yearbook staff wishes to convey our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Hannan for her time, experience and effort as our Yearbook Advisor. Mrs. Hannan has worked diligently with the staff memebers to make this yearbook a success. We couldn’t have done it without her. On behalf of all the staff members, we simply and humbly say, “Thank you!” Mrs. Katherine Hannan 55 rom We, the Class of 1985, being of sound mind and body, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be our Last Will and Testament. We give and bequeath the blueprints to our “would-be” senior Lounge to Mr. Scofield. We leave our appreciation and many thanks to the faculty and staff for their efforts to prepare us for our future. To the Class of 1986, we leave the debt of the 1984 yearbook. To the Class of 1987, we leave two boxes of used candles from our Junior Prom. To the Class of 1988, we leave all of the term paper reference books that were never returned to Mrs. Lavarnway. I, Michael Amyot, leave the ability to survive band to my brother; to Shaun Sloan, my great drumming ability; and to my family, my thanks. I, Susan Ayotte, leave to John the best of luck; and to my family I leave all my love. I, Phil Bariteau, leave my coaching skills to Mr. Noble; and to Randy Shutler, I leave a pair of mirrorized sunglasses that I found at Olympic Park. I, Brett Belfield, leave my thinking ability to my sister (she needs it); and to my little brother, I leave all the girls at Hammond Central. I, Leonard Bickelhaupt, leave my ability to “slam it” in volleyball to Scott Gleason; and to everyone else, the memory of that fatal Friday night dance — I'm sure Mr. Scofield will never forget. I, Donald Bogart, leave Mary nothing, because she has everything I own; to Alice, I leave the keys to my new Corvette so she can go to the Brewery. I, Bobby Boland, leave my position as fullback on the soccer team to my brother, Francis. I, Ronnie Boland, leave my position in soccer to John Ceresoli. I, Andrew Bowden, leave this school quietly and calmly. I, Harold Cazziol, hereby leave my good nature to Ann Howie and Rhonda Bertram; and to Laura Howie, my ability to get along with people. I, Douglas Hadlock, leave to Debbie and Jen best wishes for the rest of their years at H.C.S.; to Mrs. Walters, I leave an Erector Set for 3-D diagrams and to Amanda P., I leave the ability to go with one person for more than two weeks. I, Kim Hagen, leave to Celery a memory of “Hi Hitler” and hope you have a great senior year; to Mom and Dad, I leave my thanks and appreciation; to Steve H., I leave lots of memorable moments and all my love. I, Pam Henderson, leave my scoring ability in soccer to Jackie; and to whoever wants it, my catchers mask: to Mrs. Walters, I leave a case of oranges and grapefruit. I, Peter Henderson, leave nothing; everything I have I need. I, Mike Hsu, leave to Gary and Audra my “sound mind” so they can graduate; to Mr. Scofield and the staff, I leave peace and quiet. I, Rick Jolly, leave to anyone deserving the honor, my reputation as a party reptile; to the faculty, I just leave. (I figure that should make them happy.) I, Mike Kussavage, leave all my notebooks and paper to Karrie Hollister. I, David LaLone, leave to Harold C. my miraculous ability of “on the spot insight” to would-be horrendous crashes; and to all the other students of Hammond Central, I leave my stealthy manner ... believe me, you’ll need it. I, Jodi Mann, leave my ability to prepare 101 gourmet dishes out of Cheerios to Scott M.; I leave to Chris the best friendship ever; and to my parents, I leave all my love and a maid. 58 I, Tim Neuroth, leave one Anne Murray tape to Randy Shutler; and to anyone who wants it, an empty space on the couch in the lobby fifth and eighth period. I, Renee Perkins, leave to my sister, Amanda, best wishes for Her senior year; and to a certain special so- meone, I leave a big thanks for all of the great times, and all my love. I, Relani Prud’homme, leave memories of “The Alien” and “cheesy feet” to my brother, Grant; Jeremiah gets my multi-colored sneakers for break dancing; and to Silas, I leave an alarm clock that works! I, Mandy Simons, leave thirteen years at H.C.S. to my sister, Cory; and to my brother, the best of luck with his remaining three. I, Murray Simons, leave my ability to “brown-nose” teachers to Shelly; and to Danny, my ability to play basketball. I, Jason Smith, leave to Doug Farley and Grant Prud’homme great memories of “The Brothers” and nights at FL’s. I, Cheryl Stowe, leave to my mother an empty space in the cafeteria where I used to stand; to Susan, the memory of “I love leather”; and to Kelvin, all my love and the memory of all the special times we’ve shared together. I, Alice Walsh, leave all of my love and respect to Mom and Dad; to Mandy and Jodi, the remembrance of all our good times; and to Dave, all my love. I, Brenda Youngs, leave all my love and gratitude to the most wonderful bus driver and friend — Ed Salamncha. Love ya Ed. I, Kelvin Youngs, leave my basketball uniform to Doug Farley; to Ma Stowe, lots of love and a special thanks for being there when I needed someone to talk to; and to Cheryl, I leave nothing, because I am taking her with me. I, Lisa Youngs, leave my desire to learn to Peggy; to my family, my thanks; and to David, all of my love. I, Nancy Zikos, leave much gratitude to everyone who has been part of my life at H.C.S. I, Rosey Zikos, leave my love and thanks to my family and all my friends.
