LOTliiNO Foreword It was all too short a time ago that our class looked forward to 1974 with doubts that this year would ever come; at times, men's futures tend to be staved off in the living of their todays. In the same way, turn-of-the-century Hammond residents would have had to be unusually far-sighted to foresee their town as it is now, three-quarters of a century later. It is with great respect for another time that we portray in our yearbook the village of Hammond as it looked in a bygone age; and in the same light we capture moments of today that they may become the memories of tomorrow. Contents Administration 5 Classes 49 Seniors 13 Athletics 63 Activities 33 Advertising 69 Dedication The Class of '74 proudly dedicates our Spot- light to a man who has worked with us and has given generously of his ability and wisdom. Without his patience and understanding, numerous awards received by his pupils would not have been possible. By overlooking our carelessness and forgetfulness and by encourag- ing the students to develop their talents, Mr. Howard Bariteau has made our lives more enjoyable. Music will always ring a note of cheer throughout the halls of Hammond Central, thanks to our Mr. ”B . Our Principal CHARLES E.
