Among these students were Clifford Pike, Frances Ayen, Kitty Hunter and Catherine Kimball who didn't com- plete the year with us. Here we began our tedious journey towards graduation. With Mrs. Hill as our first advisor we started toward our goal by sponsoring a dance. At the beginning of our Sophomore year we had twenty members. Dean Byers, from Arabia, joined our class after the school year began and moved away before the completion of the year. With Mr. Hogan, the coach, as our advisor, we had a very successful fall dance and also we bought the pencil machine from the Senior Class of 1956. Our Junior Class also started out with twenty students which remained unchanged throughout the year. The most spectacular event of our whole high school career was the Junior Prom, Candyland, which was a tremendous success. Also during the year we sold magazines, began a paper drive and sponsored two other dances under our ad- visor, Mr. Toomey. When we reached our Senior year, we still had twenty members, Lynn Backus mov ing away, and Donna Stephenson taking his place. We are very impatient to succeed in our ultimate goal of graduation. With Mr. Toomey as our advisor, we undertook many activities which included the sale of bookcovers, Cappers Farmers, shakers, sta- tionery, candy, and refreshments at basketball games. We also sold our pencil ma- chine to the sophomore class, finished our paper drive, had a dance, and a spaghetti supper. 'Our Miss Brooks, a three act play which included the entire class was put on later in the year, also. As we,the Seniors, walk out of Hammond Central and close the doors behind us, deep inside we are all extremely grateful and extend our thanks and appreciation to all those who have made our four years of high school a rewarding and unforgettable ex- perience. 1-a X ni I 1.5.9,-pg-ya-:.z.'r:.:.:.:z:1'.-:AL-1 r i I 616155 Prophecy MARLENE GOSIER--is busily occupied in following out her double careers: nursing and caring for her family. RITA TUSLER--has been promoted to the position of personal secretary to the manager of the G. L.F. Store. IANET MALOY--has made her career in beauty culture. She has just announced her engagement to a Brier Hill Rough Rider. CAROL WOYTEK--after having received her BacheIor's Degree from Potsdam State Teacher's College, is teach- ing in the newly organized Black Lake Central. RAY STEPHENSON--is living in Kansas and has just purchased 500 acres of land on which he plans to erect a modern dairy equipment business. LINDA RHEOME--who always wanted to be a school teacher, has agreed to be a teacher for Bill's family. MICHAEL WEBSTER--has achieved his one great aim in life. He has made Pleasant Valley notorious by setting up a ranch equal to any, even in Texas. JEAN GIBSON--finds it very convenient being a nurse in Morristown C. S. since Roger is the Ag teacher there. BONNIE GOVE--has quietly settled down in Chippewa Bay were she and her family are supported by the best bar- ber along the Thousand Islands. JANET HADLOCK--and her retired Purdue professor have taken over Lockland Farms. They feel they should have something to leave to their fine sons. CAROLYN HUNNEYMAN--we find also employed at M.C. S. She teaches just as a pastime while her spouse is traveling around with his horses from the notorious Langbrook Stables. SANDRA IONES--is very quietly settled down on a farm in Calaboga. She says that after spending some time overseas as an army nurse, she enjoys the quiet country life. WORTH CATLIN--owner of the largest florist shop in New York City, has been complaining lately because Broad- way hasn't opened any new comedies. CORLEEN EVANS--is still following up the Broadway comedies, Perhaps she is just trying to stay on the good side of her employer. PHILIP EVANS--is the head engineer on a new branch of the New York State Thruway which is going through Calaboga. MORRIS FELT--who is also a leading engineer, is currently constructing a new attraction to replace the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. VICTOR FAUBERT--has officially announced that he will run for the next Presidential election, on the Demo- cratic ballot of course. DONNA STEPHENSON--who has no hope for the future, is now head sales- clerk of Macy's pet shop on Long Island. JANE TURNBULL--is just beginning a new job, acting as a campaign manager, along with her usual duties as a private secretary. GARY GARDNER--has attained his third star in his climb to become a five -star general in the U. S. Army. KVSSZQ ,Lk ,vm s..... 'Qu H., 7,.., xii! . Q 1 4 . . N H50-W-a f ' 3? ,pm ,. ., ..., v 3 fm.
