PER! ODS OF CONCENTRA TION The ability to concentrate is often necessitated by the desire to achieve goals rangngjrom completing an assignment, to passing a coarse, to winning a basketball game. While concentration is essential to much of lje, it is probably the most dmlicult thing to do for any sustained period of time and almost impossible in a warm classroom after an all- night term paper writing session. When attention wanders things pass by without our notice and despite our most noble eforts, periods of concentration are very susceptible to moments ofdaydreaming.

maxim. GENERATION IN A HURRT The pace of 1965-1966 was fast, days and weeks whisked by and too soon term papers, research re- ports, and finals were upon us. Over all clocks and calendars marked time allotments for tests, classes, due dates for papers and projects, and athletic competition.
