STAGE BAND SVVEEPS HONORS Members are: Rhythm-Craig Cowan, Mark Young, Davy Casey, LaEtta Scifres, First Row: Arlieta Thomas, Joe Bob Carter, Tanna Scifres, Pam Thornton, Susan Watts, Susan Stafford, Johnny Miller Second Row: Billy Bond, Stevie Reynolds, Scott Childers, Kevin Lewis, and Director Richard Evans. Third Row: Johnny Chase, Jess Lamphere, Greg Young, Mitch Lawlis, Ricky Adams, Mindy Smith, and Eddie Bolden. The band attended the Tarleton State Festival, Cisco Junior College Festival, Texas Tech Festival and swept honors at all of them. JOHN PHILIP SOUSA AWARD This year's recipient ofthe John Philip Sousa Award is Pam Thornton. She served as band president, in Stage Band, chosen Band Sweetheart, and has made a great contribution to the band with her service and leadership. LOUIS ARMSTRONG JAZZ AVVARD This year's recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award is Stevie Reynolds. He served as vice-president of the band and an active member of the Stage Band. Stevie was truly a fine example of character and of leadership in the band. 30 Congratulations, Pam and Stevie!
