The faculty, administration, and student body owes a great debt of appreciation and thanks to these men for their services. 80 ACADEMICS The Administration Plans Starting his second year at HHS Mr. Bob Hawes has shown in- telligence and determination when confronted with the prob- lems and responsibilities of being superintendent. His work and guidance have been a valued asset to all of the students and teachers of HHS. While working hard with mem- bers ofthe school board and prin- cipals, Mr. Hawes blueprints the plans to make the Hamlin Inde- pendent School District a front runner in the field of education. Knowingthat school funds are a trust to be wisely used, Mr. Hawes works hard to direct the business affairs of our school district. . - Mr. Bob Hawes, Superintendent Mr. B. V. Newberry, Principal l Another man, who is ofte feared by a few students, but al ways respected by all, is Mr. B. Vi Newberry, HHS principal. This is his 26th year at HHS. M Newberry is responsible for keepj ing all the students in line, and generally, seeing that the school if kept running smoothly.
