Donald Sager, varsity manager, was always on hand readily doing the many things that make a team manager an integral part of a successful basketball unit His statistical data was always up to date and was availu le to the coach half-time or whenever it was needed, information of this kind often serves as a basis for a change in strategy to meet game conditions. 6- 11. Baseball Varsity FIRST ROW: Bob Shade, Melvin Bishop, Walden Meyer, Keith Flory, Ken Meyer, Dick Rohrs. SECOND ROW: John Niese, Darwin Sonnenberg, Rudy Brandt, Richard Botier, Larry Nye, Morris Witte, John Guelde, coach. The baseball fortunes of the Hamler Bulldogs came far from reaching the potential ability'of the club, netting a mere 2 wins to 5 losses. The efforts of the team was prevented from functioning at anywhere near their best, because of absenteeism of team members. This represents no discredit to the boys, for iustifiable reasons prevented their appearance, however, it did put a good club in the also ran catagory.
