Ps the tremendous applause still echoed theauditorium, the Chorus lifted their voices to the delightful charm of the Christmas fmtasy, Twas The Night Before Christmas . It was a song which appeals to all, for the tale of Saint Nicholas has become a part of the American Home. The next presentation of the Chorus was The Legend Of The Bells . According to this legend, The Bells foretold of Christ's Coming, and by their ringing the burdens of men's souls were light- ened. The inspiration number, When Angels Sang Of Peace , followed. The songs tells us the story of what Christ's coming meant to the world. We're off with the Chorus on a Sleigh Ride . One can't help but visualize the scene, for the Chorus completely captivated the audience. The camera catches that moment of deep cormsentration as they watch their talented director, Mr. Davis, for his cue to begin the final number, The Song Cf Christmas . Trained to the upmost, these young people sing with a remarkable degree of skill and their out- standing musicianship marked another tremendous musical achievement. ,Q I1 175 ,- 'Shia-5155 Louis Dovls Music Organizations 5 X rcs! SECOND ROW: John Niese, Darwin Sonnenberg, Rudy Brandt, Richard Botier, Larry Nye, Morris Witte, John Guelde, coach. The baseball fortunes of the Hamler Bulldogs came far from reaching the potential ability'of the club, netting a mere 2 wins to 5 losses. The efforts of the team was prevented from functioning at anywhere near their best, because of absenteeism of team members. This represents no discredit to the boys, for iustifiable reasons prevented their appearance, however, it did put a good club in the also ran catagory. The boys just couldn't function as a smooth working unit. The batting averages slumped and the field- ing averages of the boys followed along down. PITCHING RECORD lnn W SO R E. R. K . Lower Grades Present ln Quest of Santa Claus Jane, a little girl who was anxious to see Santa Claus, started to the North Pole to find him. Some ofthe woods folk helped her on her way. The Spirits guided Jane because she was kind and unselfish. But she lost her way, and was captured by the Wongaloo. He threatened to put her in the dungeon if she tried to escape. The Spirit of Love found Jane and helped her on toward Santa Claus' Court. She finally reached her goal, and after many good times, Santa promised to take her home in his sleigh.
