Without a moment rest, students bus- ily prepared for the evenings activity. This years Homecoming Dance fea- tured “Dark Horse”. Some students danced while others reflected upon past homecomings. The homecoming of 1978 will be remembered for many years to come.

Float meetings lasted until morning but the spirit thrived as hungry stu- dents gorged themselves with pan- cakes and donuts at the Senior sponsored Pancake Breakfast. The marching band’s drum rolls echoed in the distance marking the com- mencement of the parade. Truck- loads of students cheered along the trek to the high school where the final judging was to be made. Who would win? The victor would be announced at the football game . . .

Ghosts, Goblins, And Ghouls . On October 29, the Senior class transformed them- selves into ghosts, draculas, and other fearsome crea- tures of the night. For three hours, these hideous be- ings terrified and frightened the awestruck guests at the haunted barn as they crept through the hallowed halls of an evil graveyard, bar room, and many terrify- ing torture chambers. Only the bold and brave visitors made it through safely while the chicken-hearted guests did not even pass the first goblin awaiting in the shadows. The highlight of the evening was a party of the evil makers to celebrate a very bewitching evening.
