i vu With the retum to school, students try to realize how their lives will change. No more lying in the sun, swimming, watching soap operas or sleeping until noon for everyone at Southeastem. While maybe a few students are anxious for classes to start, most drag themselves down the crowded halls wishing for more of the leisurely days of summer. Around the school students stand in groups waiting for the tone to sound. Bits of gossip about new teachers, discussions about new classes and especially the over- crowdedness problem can be heard: Even though Southeastem seems to be bursting at the seams with people, excitement and problems, its students and teachers always seem to cope with any situation, no matter what it is. f,,-,elf Q v-. + vercrowdedness did not impede g -umm- 6 spiri Participating in Homecoming spirit week is a fun way of supporting the team. Tim Mathis and Vicki Barker are excellant examples of T.V. day characters. Caught in the act of encouraging her team on, Kathy Collins screams a mighty Go.'. ' to the Royal gridders. This is the solution to the overcrowdedness prob- lem in its beginning stages-the new middle school should be ready for use by the start of the 1975-76 school year. A solution to the overcrowdedness problem is very near in the future. By next year, the new middle school should be built. This will relieve the school of over 320 junior high school students. The new school is designed to accom- modate all the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in the school system. No longer will the school be burst- ing at the seamsv.
