HHS Band The Hamilton High School Band worked all summer and fall to raise S'lS,500. to make a trip to the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona. lt all began with an invitation from the Fiesta Bowl committee in mid May. This came after the band sent an audition tape to the selection committee in March. After much fund raising and many hours of practicing on the field the band made the B day trip to Phoenix. The trip included tours of the Grand Canyon, Bingham Canyon Copper Mine, the Phoenix area and a trip on the way home through Las Vegas. While in Phoenix, the band played a concert in one of the largest shopping malls in Scotsdale, marched in the Fiesta Bowl Parade in front of national television and 200,000 people on the streets of Phoenix, and took part in a marching competition. p Band 45 A ik f Front to Back, L-B: David Badt, David Johnson, Tony Arvish, John Kochis, Michael Serwack, Tom Gwynn, Greg Davis, Frank Felice, M Southwick, Steve Swanz, J.D.
