GIRLS ATHLETIC ASS'N. The Girls Athletic Association, newly formed organization for girls' sports, is under the guidance of Miss Erickson, girls' physical education instructor. It provides our more ambitious girls with organized team sports and physical improvement activities. This year's officers include: H. Ahlgren, President, I. Hitchcott, Vice-President, L. Kaul, Secretary, and C. Macho, Treasurer. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA Future Teachers of America which was organized last year in HHS, is still a young group. This group helps students understand te aching careers. To let the students get a closer look at college, they spon- sor an annual Career Day, in which college students report, This year's officers are D. Bush, Presi- dent, K. Kohl, Vice-President, and Mary Andersen, Secretary. 53

The Speech Club after a good start last year, re- turns with an experienced nucleus. With good depth provided by sophomores and freshmen this looks like a good year for the group. Mr. Wahl, its sponsor, has been working hard with the mem- bers and has arranged for a meet here at HHS. More meets and a larger membership point to a much improved speech group. This year's officers are S. Hefty, Presidentg andj. Biles, Secretary- Treasurer. PEECH CLUB V TH ESPIANS A new spotlight for drama was purchased this year by the Thespians. It has been a great addition to the plays. Their fine work on the plays and oper- etta have helped produce smashing successes at every turn. Next thing we know they'll be writing their own plays! This year's leaders are: B. Kennedy, Presidentg R. Greenup, Vice-Presidentg and S. Case, Secretary-Treasurer.

LIBRARY A D VISUAL AIDS Guided by Mrs. Ellen Crupper, the librarians have had a particularly active year, having moved their facilities into the larger capacities of the combined library-study hall. Those who worked in the Audio- Visual Aids department at HHS found headquarters for their group in the A. V. room of the library. These boys who worked with Mr. Ferguson operated the sound and projection equipment for the school.
