The Hornets had little trouble in blanking Grant City, and the following week the reserves played half the game as the Hornets downed a weak B1-aymer eleven by racking up three touchdowns in the first quarter. The Hor- nets continued their pace with a victory over Stanberry and ended the season with a victory over Bethany to gain third place in the Grand River Conference. . Zgaoffelfgaf Under the able leadership of Alton Ruckman the Hornets finished the season with a 13-10 record and gained second place in the Grand River Conference. Participating in the Grand River Conference Pre Season Tournament we placed second, also. The Hornets cinched fourth place in the Sub-Regional Tournament. jerry Kimbrough and Corky DeShon were elected honorary co- captains for the season.
