The quality of mercy is not strained is just one of the many memory passages which we have learned while reading Shakespeare. Although Shakespeare is a highlight in Eng- lish, there are other phases in this course such as grammar. There is nothing excting or glam- orous about grammar, but it is essential and useful. 'iWhen in the course of human events- These are the words which will be embedded in our memories from the teachings of our US. history class. How well we will remember the difficulty in memorizing the Declaration of Independence, the most important document of American history! Miss Hammerle explains a few difficult things to Sue Paul, Bill Cafferty, and Frances McDaniel. Mr. Geckeler shows chemical action between atoms by means of a diagram. Uur teachers guide usg

Our secretaries-Barbara Huff, Louise Smith. and Lorraine Scholz-efficiently handle all office problems. Plane geometry, trigonometry, and mathe- matics are some very essential subjects in business and everyday living. Seldom will a day pass without using math. Plane geometry teaches symmetrical designs and many other useful things. Trigonometry teaches many principles of construction. The latter two are the more advanced stages of math studied in Hamilton High School. Maybe these will lead to the development of scientists of many kinds. 'Alf at first you don't succeed, try, try, again. This is the motto of many students who are taking business courses. A few of the courses which are available are typing, shorthand, bookkeeping, and office prac- tice.
