Revlew of the Year . . f l School opened last September with a bang. All the Freshman girls fell 5 for the Senior boys. V All during' this year the Council Captains and Council members under the ,Q supervision of Mr. R, NV. DeVore, carried on all the business of the ij school. 415 . , . . , . E. Under the direction of Sara Pettit, Dean of Women, a girls council was organized which secured the Stratford Players in the presentation of 'Julius Caesar. The Big Blue, with almost raw material, won eight victories in football and eight in basketball. Dana M. King certainly knows his stuff when iii: it comes to coaching. A ' Miss Mary Heck, dramatic coach, selected unusually interesting plays this J ' AA VY ' year such as the H1-Y play Daddy Long-Legs. The Student Council T ' YY ' LL VY , presented 'iThe Gypsy Trail and the Senior play was Graustark. , We were entertained and instructed by numerous assemblies given by school ,3 'X ' 1 1 4: ,Y . u 1 Q, organizations, The A Club won our admiration with a play, dances i and recitations composed entirely of school talent. The Boys' Hi-Y secured Mrs, Elizabeth Cartwright who spoke at a general assembly. 4 We forgot all our dignity in the Christmas assembly sponsored by the American History Club. We lost our faith in Santa Claus because if i we recognized Mr, Tilton's voice. How we wish we had time and space mf' : in . , r to enumerate all the assemblies.
