The entire student body participated. They brought articles which were later packed and mailed to the overseas servicemen of Hamilton High. A plaque, now hanging in our front corridor, contains pictures and addresses of former students now serving our country. They highlighted a banner season with a 52-29 victory over Middleville in the finals of the first annual freshman tournament. Given the most valuable award was Jack Schrotenboer while Dave Jurries was nominated most improved. As a team, Hamilton outscored their opponents 853-710 for an average of 50.2041.8. HAMILTON NETMEN Much improved over last year, Hamilton ' s net- men fought hard for the Conference crown. All was going well until the netters met up with Caledonia. The Scotties proved to be too strong for the Hawkeyes. Roger Boerigter defeated all first singles men in the Expressway giving Hamilton a good showing in the singles. The bottom of the team was stronger than most schools and gave the Hawkeyes an all-round team. Seniors, M. Folkert, G. Busscher, H. Slotman, J. Grotenhuis Front Row: C. Schaap, R. Lokers, R.
