The Hamiltonian How many times we are told diaringthe twelve years of our high school education that our school days are the best days of our lives. All of us can recall having this expression preached to us innumerable times by our parents, friends, or former graduates. How reluctant we are to believe it! Nevertheless, it proves to be a very true saying, and most of us begin to realize this as our school days come to a close and the date of gradua- tion draws near. Yes, our school days are the best days of our lives! Our education is constantly enlarging; we are gaining helpful and interesting knowledge, forming our own individual ideas and opinions. We are given the opportunity to build healthy minds and bodies by participating in sports and physical education pro- grams; we make many friends among our teachers and class- mates, some of these growing into lifelong friendships; and we are nearer to being completely free from responsibility and worry than at any other time in our lives. This year we have based our yearbook on the production of a movie entitled “The Best Years of Our Lives.” We wish to show you that our school days have certainly been happy, care- free days!
