Anchor Staff Under the direction of Mrs. Crain and Mr. Hackett, twenty- three students were organized to be the yearbook staff. Jean Linn was elected editor and Treva Metcalf was elected assistant editor. Each student was assigned certain pages for which she was responsible. Lee Ann Buell was our sales manager and led a successful sales campaign in which we sold a record amount of Anchors. Our year was spent working diligqently on our pafges and rushing to meet the deadlines. This boo is the result o all of our efforts. At the left are Marcia Green, typistg Treva Metcalf, assis- tant editorg Jean Linn, editor. Their expressions are symbolic of their personalities also the happiness expressed by a job well done and on time. Treva having learned much about year- book layouts hopes to publish an even better Anchor next year. Even though many members had other responsibilities they found time to get their part completed. The Anchor Staff takes great pleasure in presenting this year 's Anchor to you. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMER- ICA is a nationwide organization which helps high school students de- cide if teaching should be their ca- reer. STANDING: Jim Fuzy, Dave Hamman, Doug Barnett, John Jackson, Jim Cather, Noel Knox, Paul Hamman, Dan Harnish, Jim Ringenberg, Janet Jackson. 12 there are eight seniors who are in exploratory teaching. STUDENT COUNCIL is composed of representa- tives from each class and organization. The Stu- dent Council has been very busy this year with all its activities. They sponsor- ed their annual fund rais- ing drive for the Sheltered Workshop which was very successful again this year. The Student Council al- so sponsored the Home- coming Dance at the old gymnasium. There was a band there for live en- tertainment. The Student Council members also decorated the school with a tree and other ornaments at Christmas time.
