CLASS HI TORY In September of 1944 there were seven rnnocent lrttle tots assembled rn the f1rst grade who contrnued for the 12 years to graduatton They were Kay Karser Gratra Haughey Ianrce Gnagy Madrlyn Heath Owen Teegardm Bob Duncan and Nlles Kenyon Durrng the frrst 8 grades we had many act1v1t1es such as selltng war bonds t1n can drrves partles Junror Hrgh plays and Iuntor Hrgh trrps to Ch1C3g0 and Detrort On August 31 1951 we entered H H S as 25 green Freshmen Mr Fee was our sponsor Durrng the year we enjoyed clubs class partres musrc and sellrng seeds for our money project Grat1a Haughey Madrlyn Heath and Jean Cram were cheerleaders and several boys were rn ath1et1cs Startxng our Sophomore year Ruth l-leckathorn drd not enroll leav1ng 24 rn the class Mrs Cram was our new sponsor Thrs year we sponsored a magaz1ne sale and got our class rrngs Our grrls won the class tourney rn February Grat1a was aga1n cheerleader Carol Barnett came dur1ng the year Begrnnrng our Iumor year Ora Cameron and Carol Barnett changed schools also Bazrl Penland and Pat Sawvel dropped out leav1ng 21 rn the class Durrng the year we co sponsored the Carnrval wrth the Senxors and had the concessrons at ballgames In March we presented Maureen Daly s Seventeenth Summer In May we gave the Senrors a Prom and were candlebearers for Baccalaureate and Commencement We frnally began our Sen1or year wrth 21 1n the class At the end of the year we strll had 21 lookmg forward to graduatlon Thrs year we have had many money makmg projects sellmg cookres and shuts co sponsorrng the carnrval and sponsorrng the county athletrc supper We presented Men Are Lrke Street Cars by Chrrsropher Sergel Grat1a has held the Cheerleadrng t1tle for four years Baccalaureate rs scheduled for May 22 and Commencement w1l1 be the followrng Wednesday May 24 We are looklng forward to a seven day trrp to Washlngton and New York leav1ng June 5th CLASS OFFICER Standmg Walter Rernrg Student Counsel Mr Vaughn Sponsor Jerry Hamman Vrce Presrdent Seated Owen Teegardrn Presrdent Leora Rosenberry Secretary 'S-.un-iii' .
