Ca Zflzc Graduates Of 1960 You were our first Junior Class, a dis- tinction to be shared by no other class. Like last year's seniors you became pio- neers in laying the real foundation of Hamilton High School-East. Together we shared the problems of our newness, and together, we set about their solu- tion. You shared the bitterness of our early defeats, and you thrilled to the savory taste of our victories. You helped select our school seal, our school songs, our school cheers - you helped us be- come the Steinert Spartans . Not only were you an important part in the establishment of our original tra- ditions, but in this, your senior year, you continued in the same spirit to build upon that which we had, and with an eye to the future, you further enriched our heritage. You realized what each suc- ceeding class must realize - Steinert will become what we make it, each of us is important in its destiny. For your family and friends and others of us who have faith in Hamilton High School- East and high hopes for the years ahead, it has been most gratifying to work with you for the future of your school. 476' Q!qqp...nlslbg '----.' - '.'1uv ' ' 'L -r ' i ggi' xg.-an it .nn ,JK , ,431 ,qw Q-JK To MR, COURSEN has fallen not only the honor, but also the task of being the first PRINCIPAL ofa new high school. Despite the innumerable tasks that this has demanded, he has always had the time to take an inter- est in all our activities, help solve our many problems, and offer us encour- agement and leadership. 7
