SPRING is flowers, birds, and bees Daffodils and Yellow daisies. Bright sunshine wakes up the mornin' and stops the winter wind from Mowin'. Spring trees reach to touch the skies. Caterpillars form into butterflies. Peppermint sundaes, pretzels and cheer, soon we will finish the end of the year. SPRING is fields of flowers, prisms, and muddy tennis shoes. It's riding a bicy- cle built for two down a country road, a journey through space, and favorite, old dolls. It's the beginning of a new year of sports - the end of cold, snowy days. It's candy, games, Easter, and April showers. Spring is the start of a birth - a new life. It's sweet-smelling honeysuckle, fairy tales, and Sunday afternoon adventures. Spring is a promise to us from God. 5

The year 1972 was an eventful one . . . it was a time to enter into a life of involvement. A time of laughter, study, questions, growth and dreams. A time for progression and student participation. A time when happy memories outweighed the bad. A year full of surprises and changes The eighteen-year-old vote and even more spectacular - the abolition of the dress code, which allowed for great freedom. The year 1972 was undoubtedly a TIME FOR ALL SEASONS AUTUMN is enchanting, distinct, and gaudy. It’s candied apples, aspen trees frightened intocolor by the cautious approach of winter. It's hot pants in velour and velvet, hay rides on a cool, crisp night. It's knacks and trunks. Fall is beedy- eyed professors who speak through their noses. Halloween night with groolies and goblins, Thanks- giving Day, turkey and cranberry sauce. It's a celebration of 1492 when Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Autumn is a time of harvest and flaming bonfires. It’s ever-changing rainbows of color. WINTER is frost-bitten toes, rosy, red noses of the children who bundle up to go outside. It’s snow-white rabbits hid- den in the snow. It's Charles Dickens stories, buttered popcorn, the smell of fresh pines, the birth of Jesus Christ. Winter is the bringing in the new year and it's resolutions and memories of years gone by. It’s prayers, blessings and thank-you notes. It's the season of receiving but more blessedly giving. It's baking big meals for the company coming. Winter is peace.

SUMMER is the time of year that everyone longs for. It's idle days in the sunshine and in the cool of the oak tree's shade. It’s the time for vacations and travel to places you've only read about. It's barefoot beachcombers with golden tans and sunbleached hair. It's summer jobs; earning money for a car, next year's school clothes, or wild weekend splurges. SUMMER IS . . bare arms, legs, and feet. It's a beautiful blazing sun blushing rosily in the afternoons. It's fun, sun, and heat. Summer is soft drinks, no school, freckles, and new guys and girls. Summer is romantic with its sunburned noses, strolls along a moonlit beach, walking hand in hand. Summer is laughter, being young and carefree.
