C LASS HISTOR Y In 1937 a great class began 1ts educat1onal career We were 11ttle cherubs 1n k1ndergarten as we slept sweetly through naps ar-d gently threw blocks at the glass w1ndows In MISS Fowler s f1rst grade we learned to read and wr1te Th1S year Joan Barber and Joan F1tzPatr1ck entered our class The next year 1939 Kathleen Moran and Bob Sh1velyJo1ned us 1n learn1ng subtract1on from MISS Logan our second grade teacher Syb1l West left us In th1rd grade we learned how much fun lt 15 to play w th 1nk We accepted Harold Chamberllan Fredd1e Warnes and Florence Swan 1nto the brood MISS Faucette was glad of our promot1on to fourth grade and the new comers Howard Cook Ralph Godfrey Lee Johnson Betty S1ebert and Ray D16tZ Delores Deland left us In 1942 M1ss Dunham tr1ed to teach us about fract1or1s both proper and 1mproper FT1tZ Purdy Dav1d Scudder and .Tosephme Case Jo1ned us here Nobody left we were chalned 1n S1xth grade found us wr1t1ng Orlglnal stor1es every week for M1ss Brown We had many newcomers Mary Myers Sh1rley Snyder Don Fox Peter Gould D1ck Re1d Frank Rogers and Ruth Baker Flossy Swan and D1ck Calv1n left In 1944 .Ir Hlgh h1t us and we Jomed 1n the fun We attended lots of dances and sold hot dogs at one of the football games Esther Palmer us and Peter Gould Lee Johnson D1ck Re1d Dav1d Scudder Bobby Young Ke1th Baker and Fr1tz1 Emmerth left In e1ghth grade M1ss Heffernan and Mr Decker d1v1ded us Mr Decker took us on a tr1p to the sewage plant Our new arr1vals were D1ck and MarJor1e Sawyer Larry Dav1s and Harr1et Close No one left We f1nally entered h1gh school and Mr Vogel became our homeroom teacher dur1ng our freshman and sophomore years Lenore Burch and Dav1d Adams Jolned us 1n our tr1p through h1gh school Mr Patr1e was our sc1ence teacher 1n n1nth grade He tr1ed to make us perfect but we all got d1rty on the tr1p to the coal plant Stuart Jaquay and Steven Perr1n went away In 1948 we became Jun1ors Wlth Mrs Adams as adv1ser We welcomed the arr1va1 of C1a1re Landph1er Charles O Br1en and Gale Stokes Those who left were Polly Wardwell W1l1u Stevens Elberta AuSt1D and Norman Stauffer In 1949 at long last we made lt Charles Keefe came and Everett Baldw1n left wlthout enJoy1ng our tr1p to Wampsvllle v1a N1cho1s Pond MISS Gardner d1d her best to put all of us on the graduat1on platform Z4 Howard Blinebry, Clinton Blum, Eddie Yackel and Sh1r1ey Palmer came to
