WILLIAM JAMES BLAND B 'II 1 Ives Street, Mt. Carmel l'Bill came to us after graduating from Mt. Carmel School. In high school he was on the football team and took part in intra- mural baseball, basketball and touch football. Besides his sports he is also interested in fishing, hunting and swimming. After graduation he plans to work. ALLEN S. BORSARI Buzz 41 School Street Allen entered Hamden from Centerville Grammar School. He likes to fish and make metal projects, and his hobby is building model airplanes. After graduation Allen plans to learn either the tool-making or machinist trade. ROBERT JOHN BOUCHER Bowch 25 Savoy Street Robert attended the Ferry Street School and Church Street School. He has belonged to the Stamp Club and boys' intramurals. His interests are football, hockey and writing. Robert's plans for next year are undecided, but he would like to continue in the field of writing. LEILA FLORINE BOWEN Muggsie 56 Third Street Leila came to Hamden in her senior year from Troup Junior High and Commercial. She is interested in tennis, swimming and collecting souvenirs. Next year she hopes to continue working in Shartenberg's and to take voice lessons. GLORIA CHARLOTT BOZZUTO HDOdy,l 32 Alling Street Gloria entered Hamden from Bassett Junior High in her sopho- more year. She has been a library assistant in Hamden. Gloria's interests are photography, hiking, traveling. badminton. ping-pong, reading and sewing. She is entering the Meriden School of Nursing next year. HAMDE HIGH Sixteen

gs MARY JANE BERGER Bergen 37 Haverford Street After graduating from Putnam Avenue School. Mary Jane came to Hamden where she has been a member of the Girl Reserves, and has taken part in girls' intramurals. Her hobby is collecting popu- lar records and she likes swimming, skating and dancing. Mary Jane hopes to enter college after graduation. OLOA M. BERGER eb? p xo N02 Bunnie U07 NPJN 43 Bedford Avenue NO AW Grade School: Spring Glen While in Hamden. Olga has participated in freshman dramatics. intramurals, Swimming Club. Orchestra and Choir. She lists her hobbies as swimming and skating. Next year Olga may go to Weylister Junior College. JUNE MARGURITE BERTHELSON June-Bug 33 Norris Street Grade School: Spring Glen While in high school June belonged to the Look Around Club, the Riding Club and the Dramatic Club. She is interested in bowl- ing, swimming, dancing and riding. Next year June plans to enter Larson Junior College and ultimately to do advertising work. 1 4 DOROTHY BITZER Q V ' if M Dot if ips., 'if 42 Alenier Street M Before entering Hamdcn, Dorothy attended Lincoln School, Bassett Junior High and Hillhouse. While she was at Bassett she served on the school paper, The Bassettgram. Her hobby is making a scrapbook of movie stars. and her favorite sports are swimming, sliding. skating. badminton and tennis. She also likes typing. After graduation Dorothy plans to go to college. WARREN EDWARD BLAKE Baldy 160 Church Street Warren entered Hamden from Church Street School. While here he has been a member of the stage crew, the cafeteria squad and the Model Yacht Club. Warren was also a member of the track team. His main interests are boating, swimming and hiking, and he enjoys doing art-metal work. Warren plans to enter the U. S. Navy as a machinist after graduation. CLASS OF19-41 F liffffll .Dk

JUNE BRADY 20 Bradley Avenue June came to Hamden from Helen Street School. While in high school she was in the Freshman Girls' Glee Club, the Driving and French Clubs, and on the editorial board of The Cupola. Next year June is going to college, where she will study dietetics. DOROTHY LOUISE BRANDT Dot 31 Concord Street Grade School: Church Street Dorothy has been a member of the band. orchestra, choir and Driving Club. Dorothy was also the secretary and treasurer of the traffic squad and assistant manager of the circulation board of The Dial. .Dorothy's interests are sports and music. Dorothy keeps a sports scrapbfook as a hobby. Next year she will go into commercial work. TMI pa,-J' 'puff ELLEN LUCILLE BREE W 45 Russell Street From Spring Glen School Ellen came to Hamden, where she became a member of the Freshman Girls' Glee Club and the French Club. She is interested in reading and writing, and has been an active member of the editorial boards of The Dial, The Cupola and THE VENTURE. Ellen also likes walking, hiking and dramatics. Next year she plans to attend Albertus Magnus College. CLAIRE BRILL 7 Laconia Street Claire graduated from Helen Street School. Her activities in Hamden have been Girl Reserves, intramurals and Drivers' Club. She has also worked in the school bank and been a library assistant. Claire is interested in dancing, skating, bowling and swimming. Next year she will go to business school. WILLIAM BRILL Bill , 7 Laconia Street William came to Hamden from Helen Street School and his main interest has been in music. He plays the slide trombone and has been in the band for four years and the orchestra for one year. Next year William plans to go to college. CLASS OF 1941 Seventeen J-rg, A
