Debating Club, Dramatic Club and boys' intramurals. Arnold's hobbies are public speaking and dramatics. Arnold placed second in the state oratorical contest sponsored by the American Legion, He plans to enter Bates College. twwk -rf- ' PETER JOHN ALBERTINI Killer 30 Elmer Avenue Grade School: Church Street Pete has been active in the Student Government and sports here at Hamden. He was a member of the baseball, basketball and foot- ball teams. He is vice- resident of the senior class has served on . p , the Student Council, and on the Prom Committee for two years. After graduation Pete plans to'attend the Junior College of Com- ITICYCQ. PAUL REBUCCI HD 3 2821 Dixiirlll Avenue 099, Grade School: Centerville Paul has been a member of the Stamp and Bowling Clubs. He has also served as treasurer of the Class of 1941 for the last three years and has been assistant manager of the hockey team for one year and manager for two years. Paul enjoys all sports, particu- larly hockey. swimming and bowling. Next year he plans to at- tend Boston University nnd hopes to become a certiiied public ac- countant. NELLIE ROSE-MARIE DEPALMA Chubby Dee 22 Armstrong Street Grade School: State Street Nellie's activities included the Glee Club. A-Cappella Choir. traffic squad, Student Council, Photography Club and Senior Prom Committee. In her senior year, Nellie was secretary of her class. Nellie's hobbies include dancing, sports, reading. photography and skating. Next year Nellie will attend a junior college. MERWYN DAVID Murph 30 Helen Street Grade School: Helen Street Merwyn has served on the business board of The Dial. the Prom Committee, the Athletic Council, and has had the honor of being the president of his class for two years. In addition to this. Mer- wyn was president of the Driving Club. Merwyn enjoys all sports and domestic and foreign affairs. In September Merwyn plans to attend the University of Michigan. W3 5 as NANCY HARLAND R1-IYNEDANCE Nan 4 Haverford Street Grade School: Spring Glen Nancy has been a member of the Swimming Club, the Orchestra and the Freshmen Girls' Glee Club. During her senior year she acted as class historian and Editor of THE VENTURE. Her in- terests include tennis, dancing and skiing, and her hobbies consist of playing the piano, knitting and reading. Next year she plans to attend Swarthmore College. HENRY BURTON HICOCK Burt Academy Road. Cheshire Grade School: Humiston Burt's activities have included the Boys' Glee Club. the A-Cap- pella Choir, the Rifle Club. the track team, intramurals. and the Student Council. He has also served on the editorial board of The Cupola and was the assistant editor of THE VENTURE. His in- terests are music, woodcarving and dramatics. Next year Burt plans to attend Dartmouth or Bates College. BARBARA AUGUSTA LEHR Bobbie 45 Elihu Street Grade School: Spring Glen Barbara has been home room president and a member of both the business and editorial boards of The Dial and business manager of The Cupola. She also was a member of the Fencing, Science and Photography Clubs and is now editor of THE VENTURE business board. Her hobbies are photography, sports, journalism and in- terviewing celebrities. Barbara hopes to enter Vassar College next year. J OSEPHINE PAULINE FUNARO HJC., 484 Newhall Street Grade School: Newhall Street Josephine has been interested in intramurals as well as the Glee Club. She is also the secretary and accountant for the Athletic Association. Josephine's interests outside of school are dramatics and sports. Upon graduation she intends to enter the business world. JUNE W. FARNSWORTH Fonsie 28 Wilkins Street Grade School: Putnam Avenue June is interested chiefly in art. This year she is the art editor of THE VENTURE and a member of the art staff of The Dial. In her freshman year June was a member of the Student Council and the Glee Club. She is interested in swimming and drawing and wishes to travel.
