AMDEN GH CAROLINE EVELYN GAEFNEY 67 Haverford Street t Caroline was graduated from Spring Glen School. In Hamden she joined the Glee Club and the Tap Dancing Club. She was also interested in woodworking. Caroline's hobbies are ice-skating, swimming, and reading. She is undecided in plans for next year. JOE FRANCIS GAGE Joe 85 Putnam Avenue e Joe was graduated from Putnam Avenue School. He was an active member of both the band and orchestra, in which he plays the bassoon. He has served on the Traflic Squad, and was a member of the Radio Service and Hi-Y Clubs. Joe is most interested in chemistry, but his plans for next year are undecided. ALBERT JOSEPH GAMBARDELLA HAI., 20 Oregon Avenue Albert attended Church Street School. In Hamden High he played on an intramural basketball team. He is interested in shop and machine work, and his hobbies are tumbling, swimming, hockey, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. Next year he plans to enter the Navy. HELEN ROSALIE GARMAN 165 Thornton Street Helen received her first diploma from Spring Glen School. At Hamden she played in the band and orchestra, joined the Slide Rule Club, the Girls' Woodworking Club, and the music clubs, and was a member of the editorial staff of THE VENTURE. Her hobbies are music and tennis. Helen plans to go to college next fall. W. DENNIS NEIL GARVEY X Denn1'e . K 254 Putnam Avenue Dennis entered Hamden High from the Putnam Avenue School. He was a member of the Cinema Club for two years. His favorite activities are sports. especially swimming. Dennis hopes to go to preparatory school before entering college. Page Twenty-seven

AMDEN IGH X X , 1940 NICHOLAS MARIO FIORE Nick 2 74 Morse Street Nick came to Hamden High from Newhall Street School. He was in the Italian Club, served as bookkeeper for the A. A.. and worked in the school bank. Nick enjoys playing the piano. ln sports he likes tennis. He hopes to ind success in the accounting Held. PHILIP JOSEPH FLORIO Phil 1540 Dixwell Avenue Philip entered Hamden from the Church Street School. He has been a member of the Trafiic Squad. He belonged to the Boys' Glee Club, the Photography Club, the Dramatics Club, and the Theater Guild. He is interested in bowling and automobile and motorcycle racing. Phil plans to work at air conditioning and refrigeration after graduation. VICTOR HARRY FORNI Vic 2209 State Street Vic attended State Street School. While in Hamden High he joined the Italian Club and acted as clerk for the school stockroom. His hobbies are swimming, skating, and football. Next year Vic plans to go to business school. IVIILDRED ELIZABETH FOWLER Betty 121 Cannon Street Mildred entered Hamden from the Sheridan Junior High School. She acted as assistant in both the library and the gym. Betty's hobbies are skating, swimming, photography, and home economics. IX! She plans to attend the School of Domestic Science in Boston. V QI ROBERT ALLEN PREDRICKSON H Bob 134 Wakefield Street Bob was graduated from Spring Glen School. In Hamden High he was an active member of the orchestra, the glee club, and string quartet. He also joined the Radio and Music Clubs for a year. Bob's interests center around music. In sports he enjoys hockey and soccer. His hobby is stamp and coin collecting. AMDEN GH MICHAEL GAUDIO Speed 128 North Street Michael was graduated from Dixwell Avenue Grammar School. His activities at Hamden High School included membership in the Italian Club and the Rifle Club. He has also been captain of the Bowling Team. Bowling and hunting are his favorite sports. Next year Michael plans to attend business college. NANCY JANE GEIGER Nan Main Street, Cheshire . Before coming to Hamden High School, Nancy attended Humis- ton Grammar School, Cheshire. In Hamden she has been a member of the Stage Design Club. For hobbies she selects drawing and reading. After graduation Nancy plans to attend art school. DONALD GELINAS Don 44 Wayland Street Donald was graduated from the Spring Glen Grammar School. In Hamden he has participated in the Boys' Glee Club and the Mixed Glee Club, and he has also been a member of the Track Team. He chooses football and swimming as his favorite sports. Next year Donald plans to attend college. FRANCES GOLDBLATT Fran 211 Augur Street M Frances attended the Sheridan Junior High School and Hillhousc before coming to Hamden. While at Hamden her activities have included membership on The Dial editorial board and in the French Club. Knitting, ice-skating, and swimming are her hobbies. Frances plans to attend the University of Connecticut. MURRAY GOLLINGER 91 Second Street Murray came to Hamden High School after being graduated from Pine Street Grammar School. He has been a member of the orchestra, the Traflic Squad, and the Swimming Club. He has also been a member of the Student Council. He chooses bowling and swimming as his favorite sports.
