X I X SHIRLIE VIRGINIA DE MUSEY Shirl 118 Church Street Shirlie entered Hamden from the Church Street School. She has been a library assistant and a member of her home room volley-ball team. She enjoys swimming, skating, and dancing. Her hobby is collecting sport pictures. Shirlie plans to attend a business school upon being graduated. GARRET S. DITMARS Ridgeview Place, Cheshire Garret entered Hamden from Humiston School is Cheshire. In Hamden he has been a member of the tennis team, and has served on the editorial board of THE VENTURE. He has been home room president and a member of the Ways and Means Committee of the Student Council while at Hamden. He is interested in reading, skating. swimming. and in golf. Mario will enter the Junior College of Commerce in the fall, FLORENCE MARIE DELCORE Snooks 37 Ardmore Street Florence was graduated from Public School No. 37 of Queens, New York City, and then attended the Andrew Jackson High School of St. Albans, Long Island. She has been a member of the Basketball Club and the Tennis C-lub. Her interests include music. reading, and sports. Collecting travel folders is her hobby. Next year Florence plans to train in a hospital. e ELSIE DEL FRANCE HEI., 67 Burke Street Elsie entered Hamden from the Margaret L. Keefe School, In ember of the Glee Club the Hamden she has been an active m , Woodwork Club, and the Home Economics Club. She enjoys sports, skating, dancing, and is especially interested in travelling. Her plans for the coming year are undecided. ANDREW DE LORENZO Andy 13 Webb Street Andrew came to Hamden from the State Street and Centerville Schools. In Hamden he was a member of the football and basketball teams. He enjoys playing ping-pong. badminton, and sports in general. C21 1940 He has proved his interest in sports by being a member of the varsity football, basketball. and track teams. He has also been a member of the Tumbling Club. AMDEN IGH L EZ 1949 JOSEPH W. DRAZAN Joe e Edgewood Avenue Joseph was graduated from Centerville Grammar School. In Hamden he has been especially active in the woodworking classes. He enjoys playing golf and is interested in electricity and in Wood- work. Joseph plans to enter the electrical business. HENRY EGG Hank 54 Bradley Avenue Henry came to Hamden after attending Helen Street School and the Bassett Junior High School. While at Hamden he has been an active member of the Rifle Club. His hobbies are photography, shooting, and collecting swing records. Henry plans to work after graduation and then to study mechanical engineering at Pratt Institute. OTTILLIE ANN ENDICOTT JV I Tillie Q0 63 Ralston Avenue 0 Ottillie was graduated from Putnam Avenue School. She has served on the business board of The Dial and has been a member of the Glee Club, the Spectators' Club, and the French Club, She has played intramural basketball and Held hockey. She is interested in interior decorating. Ottillie plans to attend the Mascot Junior College in Thompson, Connecticut. Shorty 2 8 Francis Avenue FNJGLEEN CONSTANCE ERWIN Eileen came to Hamden High from the Putnam Avenue School. She has been in the Archery Club, the Swimming Club, the Home Economics Club, and of the Mixed Glee Club. Her interests are sports, dancing, and radio programs. She hopes to train for physical therapy work. JOHN HENRY EVANS, JR. , Johnnie 1174 Whitney Avenue John was graduated from Putnam Avenue School. In Hamden High he joined the orchestra and the Hi-Y Club. He is interested in working with boys. He plans to go to California next summer, and may possibly continue with Hi-Y work. Page Twenty-four
