AMDEN IGH 1640 DONALD EDWARD ANDERSEN Don 38 Quentin Street 4 Don was graduated from the Putnam Avenue School. In our junior year he was a member of the Prom Committee, and while a senior he has been president of the Student Council and a member of the hockey squad. He enjoys playing the piano. After graduation, Don plans to attend college. NANCY JEAN ANDREW Nance 66 Woodbine Street Nancy came to Hamden High from the Spring Glen Grammar School. She has played in the band and orchestra for the past three years and has been a member of the Grammarians Club, the Music Club and the Golf Club. All sports and music hold Nancy's interest. She plans to attend Larson Junior College. NORMA LORRAINE ANNIS Norm 3015 Dixwell Avenue Norma was graduated from the Centerville Grammar School. She has been a member of the Girls' Glee Club, the Dramatics Club. and The Dial editorial staff. She is interested in figure skating. singing and dancing and enjoys collecting unusual poems. She plans to attend Larson Junior College. CATHERINE MARY ANSELO 1747 Dixwell Avenue Catherine was graduated from the Church Street Grammar School. During this past year she has been president of her home room and a Student Council Representative. She has been a member of the N.Y.A. group and has worked in the school bank. Catherine enjoys reading, movies, and sports. She plans to enter the business world after graduation. CORINNE ELEANOR APPEL 1412 Dixwell Avenue After being graduated from the Church Street School, Corinne entered Hamden High. She has been a member of the Home Eco- nomics Club and of her home room volleyball team. She enjoys drawing, sports, and knitting. Corinne plans to attend a junior college. Page E I even

AMDEN GH DOROTHY JEAN ADAMS Pudgie 35 Church Street Dorothy was graduated from the Church Street Grammar School before coming to Hamden High. She has been an assistant in the library and a member of her home room volley-ball team. Ice- skating is Dorothy's chief hobby. She plans to attend a business school after graduation. RAYMOND WEBSTER ALLING, JR. lfRay!I 2622 Whitney Avenue Ray came to Hamden High from the Spring Glen Grammar School. He enjoys dancing and collecting dance records and has been employed as a salesman for J. Johnson and Sons. After graduation he plans to attend a business school. RUTH ANN MARIE AMERO ' Sis 16 Linden Avenue Ruth was graduated from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School. She has been a member of the Girls' Glee Club, Pottery Club, and the Art Studio. Interested in all types of art work, she especially enjoys sketching and clay modeling. Ruth also enjoys reading.'She hopes to go into commercial art. STELLA AMERO Chub 16 Linden Avenue Stella was graduated from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School. She has been active in the Girls' Glee Club, Girls' Tumbling Club. field hockey. and the Pottery Club. She enjoys swimming, dancing, and skating. Stella plans to enter retail selling, which she has studied in high school. ARTHUR NELSON ANDERSON HAH.. 126 Wooding Street Arthur came to Hamden High from the Helen Street School. He has been a member of the band, the Pottery Club, and the Archery Club. AMDEN IGH , 1940 THOMAS BARLOW ARDRON Tom 33 Marlboro Street Tom came to Hamden High from the Newhall Street School. He has played Junior Varsity baseball and intramural basketball, and is interested in shop and machine work. His hobbies are playing hockey, swimming, and hunting. He plans to become either a mechanic or a carpenter. EDWARD L. ARMENO ,,Ed,, 108 School Street Ed came to Hamden High from the Centerville School. He has played on the Golf Team. His hobbies are drawing, golf, skating, and sports in general. Ed's plans for the future are indefinite, but they will probably include sports. HELEN RITA BALDWIN lizzie 133 Shelton Avenue, New Haven Before coming to Hamden High School, Helen attended the Sacred Heart School and Commercial High School. She enjoys reading and dancing, and her hobbies are singing and hiking. Helen is uncertain as to what she is going to do after graduation. He has been a member of the Model Boat Club, the Stamp Club and the Hi-Y. He enjoys sailing, hockey, and all other sports. Ed hopes to enter Yale in the fall. y EMERY BEHRMANN -Emu 190 Gorham Avenue Emery came to Hamden High from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School. He has been manager of our orchestra for four years.
