AMDEN IGH 1937 LORRAINE FEE i'Rr11'n y Lorraine attended grammar school at St. Maryis Parochial School it1 New Haven. After being graduated she entered Commercial High. where she was a member of the Spanish Club. At Hamden, she has taken part in the Social Dancing Club and in Commercial Service. She also typed copy for The Dial. Her hobby is dancing. She intends to enter a secretarial career. MARY ROMEA FRAGOLA Ronny Mary was graduated from Dixwell Avenue School. At Hillhouse she was a member of the Tennis. Volleyball, Basketball, and Baseball Teams, as well as the Health Club. the Writers' Club, and the Chorus. At Hamden her activities have been the Italian Club, Intramurals, and the Social Dancing Group. Her hobbies are dancing and tennis. She plans to enter a nurses' training school. EDWARD M. FOLEY ..Ted,, Edward received his primary education at Spring Glen Grammar School. He entered Hillhouse High and became active in the De- bating Club, the X.Y.Z. Club. and the P. M. Tennis Team. When Hamden High came into being, Ted came here. where he continued tennis and also joined the Bowling Club and the Slide Rule Club. He is interested in sports and plans to enter Yale next year. WALTER ELSWORTH FORD Henryu Walter was graduated from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School, at- tended Hillhouse, and thence entered Hamden. His activities in Hillhouse include: Student Advisory Board. P. M. Golf Team, P. M. Hockey Team, and Intramural Baseball. ln llamden he has been active in golf, football, the Shop Service Club, the Leaders' Club, and Intramural Volleyball. His hobby is politics. He plans to take up radio work. DONALD K. FOWLER csDon1s Donald attended the Dixwell Avenue Grammar School, entering Hamden High from Hillhouse. His activities in Hillhouse consisted of various intramural sports, and in Hamden he has been active in the Tumbling Club, the Life Saving Group, and the Leaders' Club. AMDEN IGH 1937 HELEN JEAN ERAMO Helen attended Church Street School before entering Hillhouse, where she was enrolled in the Mixed Chorus. In Hamden, she was a member of the Girls' Clee Club, the Mixed Clee Club, the Dra- matics Club, the Tinkering Club, and the Tap Dancing Club. Her hobbies are dancing and skating. She plans to go to Teachers' College. ' f f ff We ' EVELYN EILEEN ERWIN Evie', Having been graduated from Spring Glen School, Evelyn entered Hillhouse High, where she was a member of the X.Y.Z. Club. In Hamden she belonged to the Public Speaking Club and served on the Editorial Staff of THE VENTURE, where she was a very active worker. Her hobbies are tennis and swimming. She plans to enter Teachers' College. WALLACE JAMES EVERETT ajimo James was gradua ed gum the Spring Glen School and attended Hillhouse, where he as a mber of the P. M. Hockey Team and the Yacht Club. At he was a member of the Hockey and Tennis Teams, and li l ed to the Biology Club and the Art Studio Croup. Jim's hobbie are driving and horseback riding. He intends to be a doctor of orticulture. His classmates would not be sur- prised to see him a ding illustrating or some other art work to his study of trees. RAYMOND JOSEPH EVANS I HRHYU Ray received his grammar school diploma from Putnam Avenue School. He then entered Hillhouse High. where he became a member of the Hi-Y and the Biology Club. When he came to Hamden, he again joined the Hi-Y and also the Radio Club, the Leaders' Club, and the Marionette Club. His hobby is radio. Ile plans to enter Connecticut State College in September. FREDERICK FRANCIS FAHEY Fred Fred attended the Dixwell Avenue Grammar Scho hen in Hillhouse High, he was elected to the Student Advisory Board and was a prominent figure on the Freshman Baseball Team. In Hamden high, Fred showed his preference for sports, being in the Leaders' Club and on the Baseball and Basketball Teams. Fred plans to enter Duke University next fall. Page Twenty-six

AMDEN lp M IGH 1937 ANTHONY PETER GAGLIARDI Ucagv Anthony was graduated from Newhall Street School and from there he went to Hillhouse High. He joined the Cym Team during his first year and became the captain in his sophomore year. He ran on the Track Team as a freshman and also played freshman and sophomore baseball. He was also a member of the P. M. Football Team. ln his junior year at Hamden, he joined the ltalian Club. He was a member of the Varsity Basketball Team and played Varsity Baseball in his junior and senior years and Varsity Football in his fourth year. He was a member of the Leaders' and Bowling Clubs. His favorite hobby is sports. His rather ambitious plan for the future is to earn a million. FRANK CARMEN GACLIARDI ai ff Gigs f V Y-7 ' Frank was graduated from the Dixwell Avenue School, whence he entered Hillhouse. There be took part in the P. M. Soccer' Team and played baseball. At Hamden be has been a member of the Leaders' Club and of the Italian Club, of the Junior and Senior Volleyball Teams, of the Bowling Team, the .l.V. Basketball Team. and has taken part in Intramurals. His hobby is sports. He has chosen journalism as his career. ANDREW GAMBAHDELLO Camby,' Andrew was graduated from Church Street Grammar School, whence he entered New Haven High School. At Hillhouse he was a member of the P. M. Colf Team. His hobbies are golf and traveling. His plans for the future are as yet undecided. WALTER RAYMOND CARRETT AsRay91 cation in s q the otogr p ty, joining both the Photography and Motion Picture Clubs. He served on the Student Council, and the Traflic Squad, and was a member of the Slide Rule Club and the Microscopy Club. His hobby, as you can see, is photography, which he hopes to make his life work. Ray is an out-of-towner, having received his early Bloomfield, New Jersey. While in Bloomfield High, h Student Patrol. ln llamden he developed his liking for ALAN CHASE GAYLORD Sneaky From the Misses Walker's School, Alan entered Hillhouse, where he was a member of the Rifle Club.
