AMDEN IGH 1937 VIDA ALVA EDELE am-, Vida was graduated from the Bassett .ltxnior High and entered Ilamdcn from Commercial. She was very active while at Commercial, participating in the Clee Club. the Student Council, and in drama- tics, dancing. and basketball. At Hamden she joined the Home Economics Club and took part in intramnrals. Her hobbies are out- door sports and dancing. She plans to go to work after her graduation. MIHIAM EDELSTEIN i'Mim Miriam was graduated from Putnam Avenue School. whence she entered Commercial High School. When she came to Hamden she was active in Intramurals. Many of her free periods she spent working in the otlice. Heading and sports are her hobbies. She plans to continue her studies at a business college. ll ll WALTER EIBENSTEINER HEI-byo Walter attended Mt. Carmel Grammar School. whence he entered Hillhouse. His activities at Ilillhouse were Orchestra and the Glee Club. At llamden his activities were Orchestra, the Boys' Clee Club. and the Photograph Club. llis hobbies are camping and Boy Scouts. Ile plans to do office work after his graduation. MA ll Y l N KENDALI, ELLEFSILN Mine Marvin was graduated from Spring Glen Grammar School, and entered Hillhouse High, where he spent his freshman and sophomore years. At Hamden, he has been the vice president of the Radio Club, and a member of the Astronomy and Electrical Clubs. Radio is his hobbyfgand he owns and operates Amateur Radio Station WIKJF. After he has finished high school, he intends to embark on an Electrical Engineering career in either radio or aviation. Upon coming to Hamden High School she joined the Tumbling Club. Her hobbies are swimming, diving, and photography. Her plans for the future are as yet undecided! , . wif . x. ROBERT FRANCIS DUNN ssBobiag,Q:r Robert went to the Spring Glen Grammar School, and thence to Hillhouse, where he was on the P. M. Hockey Team. In Hamden High he joined the Tennis, Hockey, J.V. Baseball, and Bowling Teams. He was also a member of the Glee Club. Bob's hobby is sports. Next year he intends to further his education in college. ' TRUMAN DUNHAM DYER IS Ted!! Ted was graduated from the Spring Glen Grammar School and attended Phillips Academy, Andover, where he won his numerals in swimming. We received him as a welcomed member of the class of 1937. He joined the Contract Bridge Club at Hamden. He intends to become a millionaire-of course, after he conquers college. - GLORIA CAROLE EAGAN aclov Gloria attended the Church Street Grammar School, whence she entered the New Haven High School. There she was active in basketball. At Hamden she joined the Theatre Guild, the Rifle Club, and the Public Speaking Group, took part in Intramurals, andlwas a member of the Art Board of THE VENTURE. Gloria's hobbif are art and sports. She is going to take up commercial art, and in the far fut I plans to go to California. Mx, ARTHUR R. ECKELS HAH., Arthur entered Hillhouse from Mt. Carmel School. In Hillhouse ,,,was a member of the P. M. Radio Club. When he entered Ham- ' Q Art joined the Boys' Glee Club and the Mixed Clee Club. He was a member of the Astronomy Club and the Electrical Club. AMDEN IGH 1937 HELEN JEAN ERAMO Helen attended Church Street School before entering Hillhouse, where she was enrolled in the Mixed Chorus. In Hamden, she was a member of the Girls' Clee Club, the Mixed Clee Club, the Dra- matics Club, the Tinkering Club, and the Tap Dancing Club. Her hobbies are dancing and skating. She plans to go to Teachers' College. ' f f ff We ' EVELYN EILEEN ERWIN Evie', Having been graduated from Spring Glen School, Evelyn entered Hillhouse High, where she was a member of the X.Y.Z. Club. In Hamden she belonged to the Public Speaking Club and served on the Editorial Staff of THE VENTURE, where she was a very active worker. Her hobbies are tennis and swimming. She plans to enter Teachers' College. WALLACE JAMES EVERETT ajimo James was gradua ed gum the Spring Glen School and attended Hillhouse, where he as a mber of the P. M. Hockey Team and the Yacht Club. At he was a member of the Hockey and Tennis Teams, and li l ed to the Biology Club and the Art Studio Croup. Jim's hobbie are driving and horseback riding. He intends to be a doctor of orticulture. His classmates would not be sur- prised to see him a ding illustrating or some other art work to his study of trees. RAYMOND JOSEPH EVANS I HRHYU Ray received his grammar school diploma from Putnam Avenue School. He then entered Hillhouse High. where he became a member of the Hi-Y and the Biology Club. When he came to Hamden, he again joined the Hi-Y and also the Radio Club, the Leaders' Club, and the Marionette Club. His hobby is radio. Ile plans to enter Connecticut State College in September. FREDERICK FRANCIS FAHEY Fred Fred attended the Dixwell Avenue Grammar Scho hen in Hillhouse High, he was elected to the Student Advisory Board and was a prominent figure on the Freshman Baseball Team. In Hamden high, Fred showed his preference for sports, being in the Leaders' Club and on the Baseball and Basketball Teams. Fred plans to enter Duke University next fall. Page Twenty-six
