AMDEN IGH 1937 MIIRIEL DIMOND Diddie', Muriel was graduated from Spring Glen Grammar School and. entered Hamden from Hillhouse High School. Her activities in Hill- house were Chorus, the Basketball and Volleyball teams, and Girl Reserves. In Hamden she was active in basketball and volleyball. She plans to enter Stoneis Business College. EARL M. DINGWELL ..Ding,, Earl entered Hillhouse front the Dixwell Avenue School. At Ham- den he became a member of the Electrical Club. As an engineer. Earl should make a success. since most successful engineers are of the quiet type. His hobbies are golf and baseball. Because of his interest in engineering, Earl plans to enter Pratt Institute. GERALDINE DION csjerryss .Ierry attended the Spring Glen Grammar Schoool before entering Hillhouse. where she belonged to the Music, Art, and Dramatics Clubs. In Hamden she became a member of the Commercial Service Club and the Tap Dancing Club. Her hobbies are bowling and dancing. She plans lo attend the Hartford School of Hairdressin EIIGENIA ELIZABETH DOWNOROWICZ '4Jean', Eugenia was graduated from the Dunbar Hill Grammar School and for two years attended Hillhouse. At Hamden she was a member of the Needlecraft Club. the Home Economics Club, and the Social Dancing Group. ,Iean's favorite pastimes are needlework and playing the piano. She plans to enter normal school. IIELEN MARIE DRIESSEN ..Lyn,, Helen, after attending Putnam Avenue Grammar School, came to Hamden from Commercial High School. Her activities in Commercial were the Dramatic Club. Girl Reserves. and the Biology Club. In Hamden she has been active in the Home Economics Group, the Commercial Service Club. the Girls' Tumbling Club, and the Tap Dancing Class. She has also been an oI'Iice assistant. In his junior year at Hamden he was a member of the Hi-Y and the Boat Club. He has also taken part in baseball and golf. .lack's hobbies are model boat construction and baseball. He has no delinite plans for the future. PAUL FRANCIS DAREN Goose Paul was graduated from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School and entered Hamden from the New Haven High School. At Hamden he was president of the Italian Club during his junior year. He took part in the presentation of the Italian play on Modern Language night last year. Paul's hobby is sports. He wants to be a traveling salesman. MARGARET RAE DAY Teen', Margaret was graduated from the Newhall Street School and attended the New Hlayen High School, where she belonged to the Newcomers' Club, and as active in sports, being a member of the Basketball Team and t Cincy Team, and took part in bowling and swimming. At Ha en she was a library assistant, a member of the Italian Club, and participated in Intramurals, fencing, basketball, and social dancing. Her hobbies are basketball and swimming. She intends to go to the Ryan School of Aeronautics. MARILYN DEANE DELICOURI X Lf' ssDelsa Marilyn was graduated from the Mt. Carmel Grammar School and attended Hillhouse, where she was a member of the Student Advisory Board, the Girls' Skating Club, and the Girls, Tennis Club. At Hamden she was a member of the orchestra and accompanist for both the Girls' Choir and the Mixed Glee Club, and was active in the French Club, the Creative Writing Club, and the English Litera- ture Club. Her hobby is writing poetry. She plans to attend the University of Rochester. WILLIAM JOSEPH DEMENNA acpeteas William was graduated from the Sheridan School, Bridgeport, Connecticut. He entered Central High School in Bridgeport, where he joined the Swimming Team.'He was also on the staff of the Criterion Republic, the high school newspaper. When William came to Hamden, he became an active member of the Varsity Baseball Team and was also prominent in Intramurals. Swimming is his favorite hobby. Pete intends to work after graduation. Upon coming to Hamden High School she joined the Tumbling Club. Her hobbies are swimming, diving, and photography. Her plans for the future are as yet undecided! , . wif . x. ROBERT FRANCIS DUNN ssBobiag,Q:r Robert went to the Spring Glen Grammar School, and thence to Hillhouse, where he was on the P. M. Hockey Team. In Hamden High he joined the Tennis, Hockey, J.V. Baseball, and Bowling Teams. He was also a member of the Glee Club. Bob's hobby is sports. Next year he intends to further his education in college. ' TRUMAN DUNHAM DYER IS Ted!! Ted was graduated from the Spring Glen Grammar School and attended Phillips Academy, Andover, where he won his numerals in swimming. We received him as a welcomed member of the class of 1937. He joined the Contract Bridge Club at Hamden. He intends to become a millionaire-of course, after he conquers college. - GLORIA CAROLE EAGAN aclov Gloria attended the Church Street Grammar School, whence she entered the New Haven High School. There she was active in basketball. At Hamden she joined the Theatre Guild, the Rifle Club, and the Public Speaking Group, took part in Intramurals, andlwas a member of the Art Board of THE VENTURE. Gloria's hobbif are art and sports. She is going to take up commercial art, and in the far fut I plans to go to California. Mx, ARTHUR R. ECKELS HAH., Arthur entered Hillhouse from Mt. Carmel School. In Hillhouse ,,,was a member of the P. M. Radio Club. When he entered Ham- ' Q Art joined the Boys' Glee Club and the Mixed Clee Club. He was a member of the Astronomy Club and the Electrical Club.
