VICTOR BERNARDONI ulrickyw Victor was graduated from Putnam Avenue Sebool and then speul Iwo years at Hillhouse where he was a member of both the Stamp Club and the Boys' Glee Club. At Hamden he continued his musieal aetivities as a member of the Boys' Clee Club, the Mixed Chorus. and of the Ilamden High Quartet. When he isn't playing for John- son's Rhythm Masters. he spends his leisure time eolleeting stamps. Ile plans to prepare for a business eareer at Yale, Brown or l orrI- bam. RAYMOND BIRMINGIIAM ..Bud,, Raymond entered llillhouse from Ilelen Street School. At llill- liouse he was a member of the Student Advisory Board and the Air' plane Club. Sports are Raymond's hobbies, and at New Haven he took part in freshman and sophomore baseball and basketball. lu Ilammlen he has played on the Varsity Baseball Team for two years. In his junior year, he wrote for the sports section of The Dial. Ile plans to enter Connecticut State College. .IOIIN BISHOP John attended the Humiston School in Cheshire, and Meriden High Sehool, entering Hamden from the latter. ln Meriden his ae- tivities were playing in the school orchestra, and working on the school newspaper, The Pennant. ln Hamden he has been active iu the Orchestra. the First Aid Group. and The Dial. Stall. His hobby is horseback riding. He plans to enter Connecticut State College. CHARLES E. BOAK Charlie, Buck Charlie attended Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, New York. wlienee he entered Hillliouse. While in llillhouse be was a member of the Debating Club and the P. lVl. Hockey Tealn. At Ilamden lie has been very aetive in extra-curricular activities and in sports. Ile was on the Editorial Board of The Dial and Tut: VENTIIRE. He sang in the Boys' Clee Club and the Mixed Clee Club, and was aetive in the Cinema Club. lle was also on the Prom Committee and the Senior Dance Committee and served as a member ol the Senior Ex- eeutive Board and the Student Council. ln sports he was manager of the lloekey and Golf Teams. AMDEN IGH 1937 RUSSELL G. BASSETT Russ After being graduated from the Washington School, Russell en- tered Hillhouse, where he took part in track, football, and hockey.. At Hamden he made the Varsity Track Team. His hobby is track. He plans to go to work after graduating. LORRAINE BEACH 4sBabyu Lorraine attended the Helen Street Grammar School, whence she entered Fair Haven High School and then went to Commercial. There she took part in the Orchestra and in the Biology Club. Upon enter- ing Hamden High her activities consisted of the following: serving on the Business Board of The Dial, the Girls' Glee Club, the Mixed Chorus, Orchestra, and the Prom Committee. Her hobbies are music, dancing, and reading. She plans to do office work. MARGARET S. BEATTIE Peggy Margaret was graduated from a grammar school in Queens, New York, and attended the Crosby High School in Waterbury before she entered Hamden. At Crosby she was active on the Swimming Team and in the Speech Group. In Hamden she was elected treasurer of the French Club, was a member of the Girls' Glee Club and of the Mixed Glee Club, the Forum, and served on The Dial Editorial Board. Her hobbies are swimming and skating. She plans to attend Smith College. RUTH LILLIAN BEEBE Ruth attended Dixwell Avenue Grammar School. from which she entered Hillhouse High. Her activities there were the Glee Club and lntramurals, Her activities in Hamden were Choir, lntramurals, and Marionettes She has as her hobbies tennis readinv and hocke' - - N, , . y- Ruth intends to enter Connecticut State College. WILLIAM ll. BEHLER Bill Bill attended grammar school at Simeon E. Baldwin School in New Haven. He spent his first year of high school at Bassett. From there he went to Hillhouse, where he was a member of the Student Council. In his junior year at Hamden, he was vice-president of his class, member of the Student Council, and served on the Prom and Cafeteria Committees. Bill has several hobbies, some of which are the Naval Reserves, rifle target practice, casting, and basketball. He has no definite plans for the future. Page Fifteen gsm
