Once there was a bo NY HOBBY: GUNS when guns were first made in the early days, they were shot by using a flint and a hammer connected to one side of the gun. A little later a flint was not needed, and these guns were successful They were made of wood and metal. The powder was put in the gun by a stick with a small piece of cloth at the end of it. This type of gun, called a musket, was used in the Revolutionary War. There were guns guns that were made in very heavy and crude. in the old days.
