Our Y-Teen Club, sponsored by Mrs. Giest and Miss Nelligan, was first organized as The Girl's Club on October 7, 1919 by Mrs. V,ernard, Between the years 1919 and 1924, the name was officially changed to Girl Reserve, and in 1947 to Y-Teens. All girls of Halstead High School belong to Y-Teens.
