The club was organ- ized by Karl K. Nelson and has been active since. The Hi-Y meetings have consisted of many interesting films and some guest speakers. Highlighting one of their meetings was one in which Rev. Goering of the First Mennonite Church of Halstead, gave an interesting talk on his trip to Europe and showed pictures to illustrate his trip. The Hi-Y money-making project was selling pop at the football and basketball games. Sponsors this year were Mr. Klippenstein and Mr. Ryerson. Our Y-Teen Club, sponsored by Mrs. Giest and Miss Nelligan, was first organized as The Girl's Club on October 7, 1919 by Mrs. V,ernard, Between the years 1919 and 1924, the name was officially changed to Girl Reserve, and in 1947 to Y-Teens. All girls of Halstead High School belong to Y-Teens.
