Tony Vierthaler was their president and Wilbur Smith their vice-president. Marlene Winsky was kept fairly busy for a freshman secretary. They have now over 560111 their treasury from the candy sales. This will be a rich little nest egg for them next year. They have a fine cheer leader who is Joyce Brown. Dorothy Robins very successfully represented the freshmen in Student Council. They have taken an active part in the extra curricular activities and have been represented on the honor roll every time. They have two home rooms with Miss Spangler and Mr. Shaw acting as their sponsors. SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS Ann Hill, Student Council Representative Burnell Smith, Secretary-Treasurer, Bill McDowell, Vice-President, Pat Smith, Presidentg Julie Weber, Cheerleader, OPHOMORE The industrious sophomores have done much this past year to help prepare themselves for that future trip. At present they boast over one hundred dollars in their treasury, To obtain this money they raked leaves, held one food Sale, and were in charge of the concessions at a basketball game. They also served at the National Honor Society Banquet held on May ll. This class has contributed greatly in the field of sports as well as in music. Eight boys were out for sports and nine students participated in music. STAND- ING: Jan Gradinger, Supt, Shenk, Sponsor, Howard Fleetwood, President, Mrs, Geist, Beth Wiebe, Mildred Talbott is not pictured, STUDENT COUNClL The Student Council forms the executive group of the student body. It is composed of four officers and a representative from each of the four classes, Y-Teens, Hi-Y, Dragonettes, librarians, and the music and athletic departments. Activities sponsored include the annual Homecoming celebration, which was held this year the 19th of October, and the spring election, which elected Student Council officers and cheerleaders. They also solicited the town for Red Cross Bloodmobile, managed the coke machine, and put up the Christmas lights and decorations which included the tree in the lower hall, and cardboard figures above the entrance door. Compliments of AL'S REPAIR SHOP and CONNER'S GIFT and SUNDRIES Coke machine project of the Student Council.
