Spooky T ave Spooky Tavern a three act mystery was presented by the Jumor Class w1th the ard of three other schoolxnates Spooky Tavern was presented on December 9 to an audlence that roared with laughter at the clever lines and grue some garbs worn by the players Amxd the lnghtmng and thunder rn the lobby of Spooky Tavern Lucy Hacker played by Dorothy Hxebsch entered the sta1rs carry 1ng a l1ghted candle for the stage was quxte dark Her low terror strlcken voxce revealed a murder had been comm1tted after the Ghost Woman fElvena Welch, threat ened to k1ll Lon Walt Searsj Florabel Vera Fultz Joyce Pat 7e1t and Bedella Jo Ann Buttron colored mard enter Spooky Tavery Florabel and Bedella express thelr fear of the haunts whxle Joyce bravely explores to f1nd the owner of the tavern ln order to come to an agreement on an advertxsement she read 1n the paper statmg that the tavern was for sale Ralph Francls Rothnuerj and Terry Dwane Hamxlton roamed about as two brave college upperclassmen would wh1le W1ll1e Kenneth Moranz a stuttenng Freshrnan Jumped at the least no1se When Lon Walt Sears entered on a crutch draggmg one foot the g1rls 1nd1cated fr1ght The cu closed on Act 1 as Joyce screamed and the hghts were suddenly ext1ngu1shed The second act opened w1th a search for Joyce who had d1sappeared Th1s was lnterrupted by Blackxe Marv1n W1lson who appeared to be searchmg for somethmg r arone Carol Smxthj who appeared as a detect1ve held B1ack1e at the pomt of a gun lrnmedlately Blackxe was shot by the Ghost Woman and he curtam fell on Act Z In the thlrd act all the players reveal themselves to W1l11e and explamed that xt was only a stunt to shock W1ll1e so he would never want to read detectlve stones agam Completely sat1sf1ed w1th the result of the1r scheme Farone offered Wlllxe hls nephew anythmg he wanted Wlllle s reply was A new de luxe ed1t1on of She rlock Holmes Mr Gerber d1rector of the play was presented wxth a leather blllfold by Walter Sears who represented the Jurnor Class 18 IK rnw ' c . 4 n. c an ' K . , -D, . . . . 4 ' ' 1 ' 1 .
