ummf zgh ,af VM' JUNICR IHSH HISTOPY At the besinning of the year, the seventh and eighth rade cla es of H515 had nineteen members hineeta Dodd, Ellis Dodd, Janice rerrel, Rosalie Halsey, hary Shulis, Carol Budde, Duane oeiders, Patty helius, Jim Iirk, and Bob Vannice made up the seventh rade but durino the early part of the year Patty Melius left when her parents moved to Salem Kay Holloway, Jerry Barrowcliff, David Hamilton, Pat Kelly, Bernice Hiller, Elwin Stefart, Bob nirl, Larry Rowe, and Joanne Norton were the pupils of tae eighth grade Pat Kelly moved to Halsey from Sprinefield shortl after the school year bevan, and Larry Rowe wasfornerly from the state of Louisiana The Hrade school basletoall team won taird place in the tournament nd tie seventh and eiohtd grades were well represented by Jerry Barrofcliff, captain, David Hamilton, Larry Rowe, Elwin Stewart, Jim Kirk, Bob Vannice, Duane Seiders, and Ellis Dodd The c eerleaders were Joanne Norton, Carol Budde, and Kay Holloway who wore blue and white costumes. Several times the seventh and eighth grades made science hikes to help in the study of their science units. The ooys have been learning the art of leathercraft for two hours each week and have made many useful articles in the class. The girls, also, had a crafts class under the supervision of Hrs. Evans. The girls physical education class led by Helen Peterson, fave a pot luck supper and performed tumbling, drilling and cheer leading. Spring brought baseball, spring fever, Achievement Day, Graduation, and the end of another school year.
