Mrs. Wyche, a former graduate of Wake Forest where she received her B.A. degree in English, has been teaching at Hallsboro for over three years. During this time she has displayed a true interest not only in her classes but in sports and extracurricular activities. She has helped to organize a Fine Arts Club and her interest in it has drawn students' interest also. She has attended football and basketball games and supported the Tigers Truly she has not only shown us the road but has lighted the way. We are thankful that we can show our appreciation with this presentation. 2 the '69 Bogue to two people who have given unseltishly of their time and effort to the improvement of Hallsboro High and the upholding its standards of learning, and who . . . WE DEDICATE have shown a genuine interest in the individual students. We present this annual to Mrs. Melba Wyche and Mr. Mack Edwards. .. e.i.rXXX . .a...,,g st M 3 .. W --fi Mr. Edwards, has been at H.H.S. for years. He received his B.S. Degree in Agriculture at N.C. State University. Since he came to Hallsboro he has shown the true leadership of a teacher. He has taught agriculture year after year with never-ending interest in either it or his students. As a part of his class he has initiated campaigns to improve the school campus by building, repairing, and keeping it clear. In addition to his classes he is sponsor of the F.F.A. Club and coach of the basketball team. He dedicates far more of his day to school and school activities than an average teacher. In presenting this annual to him we wish to say that along with it goes our deepest gratitude and a reminder that we are aware of his contributions and loyalty to Hallsboro High School. 3 CGNTENTS Dedication-2 9, B 1 School Life-5 5 ' ' ' Faculty-9 Classes-17 Activities-58 fp ,.1.,, x Q, ,fx 13112-2' -gl f X- -er ,rib-A 'N vi .-,'5,. D , TRUSTCQMPANY We are now near another year's end. But it's just another year. lt has been a unique and very special one, not just for the seniors who graduate this year, but for the entire student body. We don't have any specific theme this year, but if we did l think it would have to be Improvement We have taken giant steps this year in many areas of campus activities-in sports, clubs, routine, schedules, and classes. In sports, the athletes have led the way, followed, supported and encouraged by the entire student body with a display of school spirit that has not been equaled. In this annual, we have tried to capture a few of the moments you hold dear. Through you, this annual is possible. It is your annual. We hope you will enjoy and treasure it always for the memories it brings back to you. We have tried to model this book by your standard, using your suggestions. This is one of the last years of H.H.S. and a really great one. We hope this annual will effectively represent that year. Now, on behalf of the Class of '69, farewell.
