X' 1960 fx V-JQ bk , 5 Q XLSX Hmfufrfrd This has been a year of achievement and recog- nition for MacArthur. Awards and honors have been bestowed in ever increasing numbers upon our school in areas of scholarship, music and sportsmanship. It is the earnest hope of the annual staff that this edition of the BRAHMA, with glimpses of faculty and student life, will reflect something of the spirit and greatness of MacArthur, and preserve memories of these honors, your friends and the happy days spent here. The BRAHMA Staff MR. JOHN MILLIGAN Dedicafirfrz For his many years of service, his warm friendliness, and his willing- ness to help all, the 1960 BRAHMA is gratefully dedicated to Mr. John Milligan. His personality and skill in teaching have brought him re- spect and admiration from all, and he will long be remembered by students and faculty alike. Zfnble ef Kentents fierenferet .... ..... . The Brahma records in pictorial form the activities of a significant year. One of the surprising things about your annual is the fact that it will become more valuable as the years come and go. It is our wish and hope that MacArthur High School will become more precious to you and that increasingly these scenes and these faces will continue to be bright in your memory. We should like for all of you to know that we count among our grestest privileges and pleasures the opportunity we have had to work with you. We hope that this year has made it possible for all of us to have made stronger the ties of friendship that already existed. It is our sincere hope that we have succeeded in helping you to establish better work habits, that you have gained more self confidence, that you have a greater interest in and appreciation for the work of others, always keeping in mind the objective toward which we are all striving - that of being a good American citizen.
