Drama Club Presents “Barefoot In The Park” On November 16, 17, and 18, the Hall Drama Club presented Neil Simon’s comedy “Barefoot in the Park”. The entire production was a theatrical success. Experienced actors and actresses combined with novice performers to provide a challenge for student director Lori Miroux and faculty advisor Barb Kotte. The play emphasized character development and the individualization of roles. The intimate size of the cast was an asset in developing the full potential. The cast included: Jim Bruno, Nina Merli, Bernadette Filippini, John Capello, Keith Onorato, and Tom Schultz. Technical aspects of the play were managed by Mike Silfies, and the entire house management duties were performed by Celeste Kusek. Production and performance of the play added not only experience and knowledge to the Drama Club, but also brought respect and praise from the community. The Last Of The 70’s Along with becoming a senior, came the responsibility of venturing out into the world for a profession. This was a time for self-confidence, discipline, and accomplishments. To most students it was a year full of reminiscing. Each of us had our own special memories, but as a class, we shared many together. Our first year we remember those days we attended classes in “mods”. We were introduced to an enlarged social life, through sport activities. These games allowed us to stay out later and we usually walked downtown for a pizza after the game. Being sophomores, we were plagued with oral communication and the fear of giving speeches. Half of the trouble was finding a topic to speak on rather than giving the speech itself. Some students had the priviledge of traveling to Mexico or Puerto Rico over Easter vacation. The following year we were considered “jolly jolly juniors”. Many of us will remember the struggling and cramming we had to do to pass the constitution test. It was the year we had our first experience with 11 DP and, because of the lack of responsibility shown towards the program, the last. Upon reaching our final year we once again found ourselves in study hall. Many of us missed the freedom we once had down the lounge. For those of us going on to college, there were college days taken, plenty of counseling, and stacks of papers were needed to be filled out. Our class of 79 represents the end of a decade. Many of us have left our mark on the school and the community. We can most certainly say that we have lived up to the phrase, “Seniors Do It Best”. 14 Senior Class
